Dark nights bright days
3rd November 2010
Another day another bike to school breakfast: this time it was up at Acres Hill Primary School and it was a breakfast with a difference. Being an experienced bike it school now they decided that they should try to come up with themes for their events. So today the whole school dressed up in pink in aid of Cancer Research UK, not only were staff and kids dressed up, but bikes were decorated pink in order to to win some great pink prizes too.
Several other schools enjoyed breakfast too recently, with events at Sharrow and Watercliffe Meadow going down a treat.
Other exciting news is that bike shelters continue to spring up, Brunswick celebrated with a big breakfast for parents and pupils, with over 140 pupils and over 50 parents cycling to school. Not only that, but their bikes got a free Dr.Bike service and a chance to work on their bike skills too.
Events continue, even though the days are getting shorter; but just to be on the safe side some schools are holding special “brighten up” assemblies
Enjoy the ride (just remember to wrap up warm!)
