Santa Jog 2010

16th December 2010

The 12th of December marked a great day in the Sheffield calendar courtesy of the British Heart Foundation , Sheffield City Council and the Change 4 Life project. Over 400 people gathered outside the winter gardens in the city centre from all areas of Sheffield and from a variety of businesses to join in the annual Santa Jog 2010.

Spurred on by music from the Dearne Big Band and speeches from the Lord Mayor, the massed crowd of volunteers took to the streets in Santa costumes and fancy dress to walk, jog or run the mile long course around the peace gardens through to the theatres and back, twice.

Great fun was had by all, with everyone getting some outdoor exercise whilst raising money for a very worthy cause. If you’d like more information about how you can get invovled with the British Heart Foundation, like take a look at the BHF website   – and keep your eyes peeled for details of the Santa Jog 2011!!

Have a Great Christmas from all at Sheffield – Let’s Change 4 Life and the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce!
