Walk to Work Week 2011

Sheffield is going walking mad in May 2011 with two weeks of walking events designed to encourage everyone to get out and about and see the sights of the city!

Firstly, Sheffield will host its ‘Walk to Work’ week from the 9th to the 14th of May, encouraging employees of all businesses to make a change in their weekday transport arrangements (even if just by a little) by walking either partly or fully to their place or work. Secondly, Walk Sheffield will be taking place the following week, from the 14th to the 22nd of May.  All sorts of walks will be arranged , from short jaunts around the city centre to walks incorporating Art and History lead ‘tours’ of the locality.
