2011 Evaluation Conference

The conference on 8 July 2011 was attended by over 200 health care professionals and local government staff from across the UK. The programme shared with you evaluation findings, insights from our project leads on the delivery of this ambitious project and details of how the learning from the programme is being taken forward in Sheffield.  .

The programme aim was and still is “to develop a systematic, city wide programme focussed on addressing the social and environmental factors that have led to the rising rates of obesity in children and families in our City”.

Following the evaluation presentation, senior leaders in the city, including Dr Jeremy White, Director of Public Health, and Cllr Jackie Drayton, Cabinet Member for children, young people and families, indicated their strong support for continuing to tackle this very important issue.

  1. A very interesting event.
I thought that some of the speakers spoke too fast, not enough time to absorb some of what was being said, particularly with not having the powerpoint slides on paper in front of us.
I look forward to having the final evaluation!
