Introduction to Community Development & Health course (ICDH)

ICDH graduatesThe Introduction to Community Development & Health course (ICDH) encourages people to develop a deeper understanding of what health and wellbeing means to them and their community.

The course is very creative and uses art, collage, creative writing and drama to support learning.

The course empowers participants to make their own informed choices, access services more appropriately and develop the skills and confidence to enable them to take advantage of opportunities that may become available. It can give people the skills they need to access further education, training and employment. The course is FREE to participants and even includes childcare where needed to enable the parents of pre-school children to attend. It offers learners the opportunity to gain an Open College Network accreditation at levels 1 or 2 and all participants can receive a certificate of attendance.

The ICDH course runs in partnership with local community organisations in many parts of Sheffield. To find out more contact a member of the Community Development & Health Team.
