Social Marketing
The Change4Life Strand has two elements – the first is to raise general awareness across the city of the Sheffield – Let’s Change4Life brand and what small changes people can make to improve the health of themselves and their families.
The second element is about supporting the other strand leads to deliver social marketing work which will encourage positive behaviour change amongst target communities – these include campaigns to: make Sheffield a breastfeeding friendly city; encourage take-up of school meals; support dads to be more involved in the health & wellbeing of their children; increase physical activity levels amongst families; and support women pre-conception to have good health behaviours.
By March 2011 we will have delivered 5 successful social marketing initiatives with target audiences and have positively changed the behaviour within those groups in relation to our aims (in relation to the 5 projects). There will also be high levels of knowledge and awareness across the city of the Sheffield – Let’s Change4Life programme and having a healthy family life.
